How it works

One site, four jobs, and a person who sets it up with you

Donorframe is a hosted platform: your public website, your event pages, your donation checkout, and your merch store all live on your own domain and share one dashboard. Here is what is in the box and how a new organization gets started.

What’s included

Everything on one login

Each piece is built to know about the others: an event can take donations, a donor’s giving history includes their merch orders, and receipts all carry your branding.

Pages & navigation

Your homepage and every other page are assembled from blocks, each with layout variants.

  • Hero, text and image, impact stats, testimonials
  • Event lists, donation calls to action, product grids
  • Contact forms that save to your dashboard
  • Your own colors, fonts, and logo throughout

Events & tickets

Three kinds of event, each with its own public page at a predictable address.

  • RSVP events with capacity and a waitlist
  • Ticketed events with priced tiers and check-in
  • Fundraisers with a goal and progress bar
  • Day-of tools: check-in, promote from waitlist

Donations

Giving runs through your own Stripe account. Donorframe never holds funds.

  • One-time and monthly gifts
  • Fees shown before checkout, added on top of the gift
  • Automatic, sequentially numbered tax receipts
  • Donors update cards or cancel themselves

Merch store

A small store on your own site, not a separate storefront.

  • Products with sizes, colors, and inventory
  • Live carrier shipping rates at checkout
  • Buy and print labels from the dashboard
  • Order confirmation and shipping emails
FOR YOUR STAFF

A dashboard your team can actually use

Content editors, finance staff, and administrators each see what their role needs. Every change is recorded, so you can always see who did what.

  • Roles: administrator, finance manager, content editor
  • Donation ledger with refunds, registrations with check-in
  • Orders with fulfilment and shipping labels
  • An activity log of every change

Getting started

Onboarding is a conversation, not a signup form

There is no self-serve trial. We set each organization up personally, which is slower than a signup button and a great deal better for the site you end up with.

We talk it through

Tell us about your organization: what you do, how you talk about it, what your current site does and does not do, and what you need from events, giving, and merch. That conversation decides how your site is arranged.

We build your site

Pages, navigation, branding, and structure are set up for you from your existing materials. You review it on a Donorframe address before anything is public.

You connect Stripe

A short, hosted Stripe setup connects your organization’s own account, so donations and ticket sales deposit directly to your bank. If you sell merch, shipping is connected the same way.

Your domain points at your site

One DNS record at your existing registrar. Certificates are handled for you, and your site stays reachable at its Donorframe address in the meantime.

You take it from there

Add pages, post events, and edit content whenever you like: your team, your dashboard. We stay in touch, and the platform keeps improving underneath you.

Questions

Questions about getting started

Do we need a developer or a web person on staff?

No. Once your site is set up, pages, events, and content are managed from your dashboard in plain language, not code.

What happens to our current website while the new one is being built?

Nothing changes until you're ready. Your current site keeps running while yours is built and reviewed on a Donorframe address, your domain only points at it once you connect it in step 4.

Can we keep our existing domain?

Yes. One DNS record at your existing registrar points it at your Donorframe site. Certificates are handled for you, and your site stays reachable in the meantime.

How long does onboarding take?

There's no fixed timeline: it depends on your organization and how much material you have ready. What doesn't change is that you review the site on a Donorframe address before anything goes live.

Want to see it with your organization’s name on it?

Tell us a little about your nonprofit and we’ll talk through what a site would look like.
